T-Mobile suffers another data breach, customer phone numbers, possibly accessed call logs

T-Mobile recently experienced a data breach in which some of its customers had their information, including “call related information”, exposed to hackers.

In a notice on its website, the telecommunications giant said there was a security incident that saw “client-proprietary network information” (CPNI) improperly accessed. Some of the CPNI’s may include “telephone number, number of lines signed into your account and, in some cases, call-related information collected as part of the normal operation of your wireless service,” said T-Mobile.

The company added that the breach, reported to have impacted approximately 200,000 customers, did not include financial information, such as account names, credit card information, social security numbers, social security numbers, passwords or PINs.
