Syracuse’s male basketball coach Jim Boeheim apparently did not learn from the repercussions that Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski received from his own incident when he became involved with a student reporter earlier in the season.
Boeheim found himself in dire straits after the 64-54 victory over Clemson on Wednesday night. The legendary basketball coach criticized the height of a reporter after a question during his availability in the media.
Atlético’s Matthew Gutierrez asked a question about the “defensive growth” of Quincy Guerrier and Alan Griffin in the final stretch, according to USA Today.

“I think they are improving, they still make some mistakes and that is normal,” replied Boeheim.
“I think our whole team has improved, but it has not been as good as we needed all year. I think we have improved as a team. I think it is difficult to reach 9-7 in this league. A difficult league. Very difficult. I think these guys did a great job this year. “
But as the head of media relations would move on to the next question, Boeheim made one more observation.

Gutierrez tweeted on Tuesday that he and the coach were “all right” after a conversation about the tweet.
Krzyzewski faced criticism earlier this year for harassing a student reporter. However, the two parties would reconcile after Duke’s coach apologized.
