Hey Google, are you okay? A few weeks ago, you posted a very strange video, describing the basic process of migrating the Pixel smartphone with a strange collection of meditation and narration images in ASMR style. Now you are back with this video combination introducing phone migration to karate. It looks like someone on the Pixel team really wants to go viral.

This video is much shorter than the previous one, which used its meditation vibe to cover the slightly tedious time it takes to transfer settings and files. This fills the space with an Australian karate instructor, teaching the viewer the basics of a martial arts block. Much more inscrutable is the bit in about 30 seconds, in which the handheld model connects a Pixel 5 to a banana.

You can certainly see this as a criticism of Apple – you can do that with Google’s data transfer tool. But since the cable is USB-C at both ends, I think this is yet another quick and dirty attempt at some meme-worthy content. (Which I think is working, since we are reporting this!) The narrator continues to advise you not to use “1234” as your device code. Thank you, Google.
