Kaley Cuoco will have her husband by her side at the 2021 Golden Globe tonight!
On Saturday, the 35-year-old actress revealed that her husband, Karl Cook, had returned from the Winter Equestrian Festival to surprise her before the awards night.
“Most of you know [Karl] has been absent on the WEF for many weeks and still has many weeks of travel, so I knew he wouldn’t come back to celebrate the Globe with me, “she said in a video in her Instagram story.
Cuoco, who was nominated for her first Golden Globe, explained that as the award night will be virtual amid the COVID-19 pandemic, she would not ask her husband to fly back and stay with her.

“I knew he had a crazy schedule,” she said. “Well, I just answered the door and he came back!”
In the video, Cuoco breaks down in tears of joy as he gives his 30-year-old husband a hug after surprising her and returning home. “I can’t believe you did that,” she said. “I’m so glad you’re here.”

Cuoco was nominated for best actress in a television series, comedy or musical, for her role on HBO The flight attendant.
She learned of her nomination earlier this month and shared the emotional moment on Instagram.

“Thank you, @goldenglobes #hfpa, I will never forget that moment and I can’t stop crying … I am proud of my entire team,” she wrote. In the moving video, Cuoco is seen covering her face as she starts to cry. “Oh my God!” she repeats it several times without believing it.
Along with Cuoco’s nomination for best actress in a television, musical or comedy series, her show also gained recognition in the category of best television, musical or comedy series.

After the fans started to flood the comment section of the post with congratulations, the star added, “I AM READING ALL THE COMMENTS! Thank you all for this love !!! My heart is exploding !!!!!”
In a statement to PEOPLE, Cuoco said, “OMG! My heart is still pounding and the tears are streaming! Thank you HFPA for these amazing appointments. This is really the highlight of my entire career and I couldn’t be more excited and proud to share this recognition with the most amazing cast and crew. It feels like a dream! “
