Appearing as a guest on Boo Crew Podcast, Neil Marshall said he “could” possibly revisit The descendant franchise but Soldiers dogs it was “always meant to be a trilogy”.
[Those books] are definitely not closed. I could revisit [the world of The Descent] but with that it was to be an isolated case. And then the sequence was done anyway. Soldiers dogs always intended to be a trilogy. So, the rights for that have been tied for a long time, but now there is the possibility of a Soldiers dogs 2, finally.
