Superman (Henry Cavill) is back in black in a re-released clip of Zack Snyder’s Justice League – now in high definition. In the clip debuted for the first time during the virtual Justice Con during the summer, the recently resurrected Man of Steel goes to an Alfred Pennyworth (Jeremy Irons), before the League’s final battle against Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds) and his alien army. Inside Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the four-hour director’s version for minors to be released on HBO Max on March 18, the superhero in the black suit will “level up” and take the final step to become what Snyder calls the classic Superman.
“I really have always been a very strong supporter of the black suit. I really wanted the black suit,” said Snyder during a recent appearance on Comic Debate. “Superman is a character notoriously not growing. He’s like a rock and everything crashes against him. And we learn about ourselves by trying to change something that is immutable. That’s really the old way, the old Superman, while I felt like my Superman had to, at each step, kind of level up and learn something, and be something different. “

According to Snyder, the black and silver CGI suit is also a “great time liner”.
