If you’re looking at the Super Bowl crowd at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and thinking it looks like an exhausted run, your eyes are really playing tricks on you.
Social media is buzzing with many people believing that a crowded crowd is available for the big game.
why … are there so many people in the crowd?

The crowd photos are making me uncomfortable. https://t.co/d0I5H1a19S

Is anyone else looking forward to that crowd in Tampa, or is it just me? #SuperBowl

If the NFL wants to continue to position this event as an ode to frontline workers, it should probably stop panning the crowd

Was I weird to assume that there would be a minimal crowd in the Super Bowl? I did not research. I just thought that was what we were doing. But no, this stadium is at least 3/4 full

I can’t believe how dense this crowd is. What’s going on here?

In the middle of a pepperoni and there is (it seems) an exhausted crowd in Tampa. Unbelievable.

But that is not the case. There are only 25,000 people present – in a stadium with a capacity of just over 65,000. There are also 30,000 cardboard cutouts – giving the illusion that all places are occupied.
Of the 25,000, almost a third are vaccinated frontline health professionals. However, some people are aware of the cuts and still believe that the crowd that is actually serving is still very large.
I had the same feeling and looked for information about the crowd – apparently there are 22,500 fans there, 7,500 of whom are vaccinated health workers, so that’s a good thing. But still … that leaves a lot of others and they don’t seem too far away.

I am aware that there are cardboard cutouts. I can also see that there are a lot of real people whenever they show a scene from the crowd. If you think “just 20 thousand people” is not a bad idea, I can’t help you.
