Twitch star Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar explained why he didn’t join the chaos that is the OfflineTV Rust server, while questioning why some “really good Rust players” were allowed in.
Although Rust has been around since 2013, his popularity has exploded on Twitch in recent weeks thanks to the OfflineTV server.
Some of the top Twitch streamers, like xQc, Shroud, Pokimane and Sodapoppin, have been playing on the server, with the game frequently reaching the top of the Twitch charts – with creators matching for over a million viewers.
With the server split in two, many other streamers were able to join the fun, but viewers have been asking about Summit1g’s involvement, as it is right in the middle of it.

OfflineTV’s Rust server gave the popular and unique game an extra life.
Well, the former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player answered those calls during his January 8 broadcast, and had a simple answer – he just invested too much in Escape from Tarkov.
“I am a mediocre player. If I took some guys who were as good as Coconut and that one and relaxed with them, it would probably be a good time, ”Summit said, answering questions about Rust. “But, I’m not in the mood right now. I really like EFT [Escape from Tarkov].
“I have nothing against Rust, in fact, if this server came up just before I entered EFT, there was a good chance that I was playing on it,” he continued. “But, just a bad time while I’m immersed in EFT cleaning now. Maybe later, if it’s still happening. “
The Twitch star added his point even more when after ending his streak, noting: “Rust’s really good players are like professional CS players. You don’t have much of a chance unless you spend a lot of time. “
He also questioned why streamers “purposefully go on a server with those guys”, since, for them, playing against newbies is simply a surfing paradise.
Basically, I don’t know why you guys would purposely get on a server with those guys lol. Less chance of a normal server running to the gods.

Let me just say that. When I find myself smurfing in CS, I just play and don’t even buy rifles. It’s still not fair when you do that too, that rust server is the smurf paradise I imagine lol.

Summit may have left the door open about the possibility of him joining the OfflineTV servers, but in fact, it will last long, since he and some other streamers are so involved in Escape from Tarkov.
The players on the offline TV servers may simply have left and switched to something else when he breaks up with Tarkov, so we may never see him joining the party.
