The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 105-89 on Wednesday night in Dallas to win the season’s series 2-1. This game looked like a playoff game from the beginning and it was one of those performances by Luka Doncic that made him shake his head in amazement without stopping. Here are some numbers from the game:

Luka was absolutely spectacular, finishing with 42 points (6 out of 11 out of three) and nine assists. This was Luka’s fourth game with 40 points this season, tied for second, behind only Joel Embiid and Dame Lillard (both with five). What is also crazy about Luka’s 40-point performances is that in each of the plays he also has 9 more assists, for Mavs PR.
Luka was simply at one tonight, smiling through the ups and downs, and it was a joy to watch.

Luka Doncic scored 29 more in the 16-point win in 42 minutes of play. The scary part of that is that in the five minutes that Luka was sitting, the Mavs were 13, but we’ll talk about that another time.
Luka told the media after the game. “The last two games were like playoffs. We play a lot, and that’s how we have to be ready for the playoffs if we can. “
42-minute games can’t happen every night for Luka, but when your All-NBA star is playing like he was today – you play with him as much as possible.
12: The number of Mavericks wins in the last 16 games.
The Mavericks are on the rise after the difficult start of the season. They have one of the easiest remaining agendas in the NBA and are getting closer and closer to moving up the rankings. Dallas is still in eighth place in the Western Conference, despite this good race, but is only two games away from the Portland Trailblazers, in sixth place, which happens to be who the Mavericks will play their next two games.
