Succop, Smith wins Super Bowl LV with Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are Super Bowl LV champions. Two South Carolina Gamecocks will lift the Lombardi Trophy. Kicker Ryan Succop went from 4 to 4 in attempts for extra points and had a 52 yard field goal in the third quarter. Defensive Rookie tackle Kobe Smith not dressed for the game, but is on the Tampa Bay training team.

Succop, the final choice of the 2009 NFL Draft (choose No. 256), is in its 12th NFL season and for the first time with the Buccaneers. It was signed in the preseason. Entering the 2020 season, he had connected in 236 of his 287 field goal attempts in his career, a success rate of 82.2%, as well as 338 out of 248 attempts for extra points. In the regular season of 2020, he had 28 out of 31 in field goals and 52 out of 57 in attempts for extra points.

Kansas City defensive quarterbacks Rashad Fenton and Chris Lammons dressed for the game, but recorded no statistics.
