Stretch wet ahead as we head for the weekend!

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – A cold front will bring a lot of clouds and a lot of downpours to Lowcountry as we close the workweek. Keep your umbrellas ready for the day today, as the forecast is for rain both this morning and afternoon. It will be an airy day with highs close to 60 degrees. The cold front is going to push the area tonight, but the clouds and some showers will continue tomorrow morning. On Saturday it will be cooler with a break for rain in the morning, but there will be more rain returning in the afternoon. A low pressure wave will develop along the front and spread across the area on Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. This will keep the climate unstable, with a likelihood of rain. The showers are due to end on Sunday morning, as the low pressure system moves away from our area. The clouds will give way to the sun when we enter Sunday afternoon. The maximums will be in their 50s on Sunday.
