Not only is Star Trek: Strange New Worlds–the spinoff series starring Captain Pike (Anson Mount), Spock (Ethan Peck) and Number One (Rebecca Romijn), which was in the past when Discovery exploded in the distant future –filming officially now, Paramount + announced five new cast members for the series.
The news comes courtesy of this short, but very cute video, with the team members Strange new worlds vertiginously expressing their feelings about Star Trek in general and this series in particular. Check out!
As you saw, the new faces are Babs Olusanmokun (Black mirror, Dune), Christina Chong (Tom and Jerry, Black mirror), Celia Rose Gooding, Jess Bush, and Melissa Navia, who will all be sregular eries. Unfortunately, we know nothing about the characters that they will play yet.
Adding to the chorus of Trek happiness was co-showrunner Akiva Goldsman, who declared for StarTrek.com. “With a hellish cast and eternal love for The Original Series, let’s go boldly. ”The other showrunner, Henry Alonso Myers, was also excited: “I am extremely grateful to work alongside Akiva and our brilliant and multifaceted cast to help bring Starfleet adventures to life.
