Strafford man accused of three shootings killings of spouse and parents

STRAFFORD, Missouri (KY3) – The Greene County District Attorney charged a Strafford man in a murder investigation over the shooting deaths of his wife and two parents on Saturday night.

Jesse Huy, 50, was charged at Greene County Jail on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of armed criminal prosecution. It is being held without bond.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, these charges stem from the death of three people inside Huy’s home. The sheriff’s office says Huy is accused of killing his wife, Tonya F. Huy, 48, of Strafford, and his parents, Ronald L. Koehler, 71, and Linda J. Koehler, 78, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Investigators say Huy called the authorities on Saturday night to report that he murdered three family members inside his home.

The deputies arrived at a house on block 4400 on North Farm Road. 249 around 6:30 pm. As soon as they arrived, they confirmed the deaths of three adults in the house. Huy was then taken into custody without incident.

The exact cause of the shooting deaths is unknown. Huy has no previous history of criminal charges in Missouri, according to court records.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation. Additional details are limited, but we will update as more information becomes available.
