The comedian opened “The Late Show” on Tuesday night with a heartfelt speech to the families of the victims of the shooting in Boulder, Colorado. “The only appropriate way to honor these victims is to act, but our government continues to do nothing,” he began.

“I think we should keep this in perspective.
