Steph Curry’s frustration spills over in the second part of the Warriors-Clippers

Steph Curry was not happy on Thursday night and he warned his teammates.

A lively Curry addressed the Warriors in a second timeout with the Golden State behind the Los Angeles Clippers by double digits in both teams’ first game after the All-Star break.

Her sister, Sydel Curry-Lee, could relate to how teammates from the two-time NBA MVP felt.

Curry’s frustration was evident on Thursday, and for good reason. On Wednesday, he talked about fulfilling the Warriors’ difficult schedule after the break, starting with Thursday’s game against the Clippers.

“Difficult games, but I think it can help in terms of stopping and understanding the importance of each possession, especially at the start of tomorrow’s game against a really good team,” Curry said on Wednesday in a video conference with reporters. “We are excited about the opportunity, especially after sitting in those last two games throughout the break.”

The Warriors did not have the strong start Curry envisioned. After losing by just two points at the end of the first quarter, the Clippers led the Warriors 59-43 after the first half. With pivot James Wiseman in reserve, Golden State lost 104-68 at the end of the third period.

Curry remained patient throughout the Warriors’ ups and downs season, understanding his need to balance the player’s victories and development. For the first time this season, it looked like on Thursday his patience was starting to run out.
