Soon, Steph Curry will hold almost all of the notable records in the history of the Warriors franchise.
But in several categories, Curry is still chasing some franchise icons, like field goals scored.
With his first bucket on Friday night against Charlotte Hornets at the Chase Center, Curry scored his 6,000th field goal in the regular season.
While 6,000 is a lot, Curry remains behind Chris Mullin (6,150), Rick Barry (6,466) and Wilt Chamberlain (7,216) for the most in the franchise’s history.
Curry made 5 of 9 on the pitch in the first half to 13 points on Friday, helping the Warriors to have a 66 to 51 lead over the Hornets until the break.
He finished with 29 points in the Warriors’ 130-121 victory.
Needing just over 1,200 field goals to pass Chamberlain, Curry should get there early in the 2021-22 NBA season, assuming he remains healthy.
Curry is also closing franchise records for most career points and assists. He is expected to pass Chamberlain on points (17,783) and Guy Rodgers on assists (4,855) in the coming weeks.

Mullin holds the franchise record for the most robberies (1,360) and Curry (1,244) could get there in the next season or two.
When all is said and done, Curry will have all records and be considered the best player to wear a Warriors uniform.
