The Steelers will host the Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field in the AFC Wild Card Round on Sunday, January 10th. The game is scheduled to start at 8:15 pm and will be broadcast on NBC (WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh).
The Steelers shared the series with the Browns this season, beating them 38-7, at Week 6 at Heinz Field, and losing the season’s end, 24-22, at Week 17, with several Steelers holders standing, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Since Heinz Field opened in 2001, the Steelers have hosted 13 games in the postseason with an 8-5 record.
Being in the postseason is nothing new for the Steelers, who are 36-24 in the postseason since the 1970 merger and won 30 playoffs.
Steelers arrive in the postseason as champions of the AFC Northern Division, the 24th time Steelers have won the division title. The Steelers won 15 AFC Central Division championships and nine AFC Northern Division championships after the conference was realigned in 2002 to include Steelers, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens.
