Steelers reportedly hired a new offensive line assistant coach for 2021

The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to fill their team of coaches for the 2021 season. After recently promoting assistant coach Adrian Klemm to be the coach of the offensive line, the Steelers are hiring Chris Morgan to fill the role of assistant coach of the offensive line. This by Mark Kaboly from The Athletic:

Morgan has spent the past six seasons with the Atlanta Falcons as his offensive line coach. With a new coach for the 2021 season, Morgan was released about two weeks ago. In all, Morgan has been training in the NFL for 12 seasons with the Oakland Raiders, the Washington Football Team and the Seattle Seahawks.

With some expressions of apprehension over Adrian Klemm’s promotion to offensive line coach, bringing in a technical assistant with Morgan’s resume can help put the Steelers on track. Now that the coaches are in place, Steelers will need to make a series of decisions with respect to the offensive line personnel. In addition, the Steelers will need to prepare for the next draft, where the offensive line appears to be such a necessary position that they may be making several selections.

With Morgan’s hiring report, the only position left for the Pittsburgh Steelers that was vacant after the 2020 season is that of defensive coach. Whether Steelers will fill this position or not has yet been determined.
