The Steelers are one of many teams with work to do to get below the 2021 salary cap and have done some of the work by restructuring a defensive star contract.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the team converted a large portion of your $ 10.5 million salary and list bonus in a subscription bonus. He will receive all the money, but this year’s ceiling will drop by around $ 7 million as a result of the machinations.

Heyward is signed until 2024. He had 54 tackles, four sacks and an interception during the 2020 season.

The shot from the defensive end was one of the team’s biggest four. The biggest one belongs to defender Ben Roethlisberger, who is expected to have $ 41.25 million and it is still unclear how the team will proceed with the long face of his attack.
