After promoting its former defender coach to offensive coordinator, Steelers found a new defender coach.

Mike Sullivan will be the Pittsburgh quarterback coach, Mike Garafolo, of the NFL Network reports. He will work with Matt Canada, who coached defenders last year and will be the offensive coordinator this year.

A West Point graduate, Sullivan has spent the past two years working for the Army football program. Prior to that, he was a coach for quarterbacks for the Broncos and also a coach for quarterbacks for the Giants and an offensive coordinator for the Giants and Buccaneers.

The Steelers are expected to have Ben Roethlisberger in 2021, although this is not set in stone. Sullivan will likely be training Roethlisberger while the Steelers try to reach another Super Bowl with Big Ben.
