Steelers Friday Injury Report Super Wild Card Week: Smith-Schuster Fully Practiced; Boswell Limited

The Pittsburgh Steelers has released what we hope will be the final Super Wild Card injury report of the week before the team’s home game on Sunday night against the Cleveland Browns and Friday’s offer shows that no player has received a game.

According to Friday’s injury report released by Steelers, kicker Chris Boswell (right groin) was limited in practice earlier in the day. Still, Boswell, who missed the Steelers’ Week 17 game against the Browns with a groin injury, did not receive a game status designation, so for now, he must play Sunday night against the Browns.

After not training on Thursday, Steelers defensive striker Isaiah Buggs (illness) and wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) are listed as full participants in the injury report later in the week. Like Boswell, neither was assigned game status designations.

Also training fully on Friday were cornerback Steven Nelson (knee), safety Terrell Edmunds (shoulder), defensive tackle Tyson Alualu (ankle) and internal linebacker Vince Williams (quadriceps).

Steelers are now likely to activate internal linebacker Robert Spillane and protect Matt Feiler from the reserve / injured list on Saturday. Cornerback Joe Haden, however, will miss Sunday night’s game against the Browns as he is still on the team’s reserve / COVID-19 list. Steelers are also expected to have tight end Eric Ebron and external linebacker Cassius Marsh back on Sunday night, after both were activated from the Reserve / COVID-19 list earlier this week.
