The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool appears to be a bit bitter after the team’s 48-37 loss to the Cleveland Browns in an AFC wild-card clash between division rivals on Sunday night.
Claypool, who had five 59-yard receptions and two touchdowns in the game, was interacting with fans on social media and analyzing the game’s players on Monday when he shared his reaction to the Pittsburgh defeat.
“Bad loss, but the Browns are going to get applause next week. Okay,” said the rookie during the live broadcast.
Claypool was not the only Steelers wide receiver to make headlines after the defeat by the Browns.

JuJu Smith-Schuster was chosen by the Browns after becoming a target before the wild card round, when he told reporters that he was not concerned about playing against Cleveland.

Smith-Schuster faced the music after the defeat.
“I don’t regret saying what I said,” he said during his post-game press conference. “I said ‘the Browns are the Browns.’ They came and played a great game. “

“There were games where you lost some, you won some, and today was not our night,” continued Smith-Schuster. “Hopefully, the same browns will appear against the next opponent, and they will go there and do the same thing they did tonight and have a great game.”
The Browns will head to the AFC division round, where they will travel to face the current Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Sunday at 3:05 pm Eastern Time.
