Steelers’ Chase Claypool said the Browns were “overclassified” after the victory; that’s why he said that they will take clapping heads

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Steelers receiver Chase Claypool explained on Thursday that he was ‘salty’ about the Browns because they were ‘superclassless’ over JuJu Smith-Schuster during and after his 48-37 win in the round wildcard.

The day after the game, Claypool said in a live TikTok that “It’s a bad loss, but the Browns are going to get applause next week, so it’s okay.”

He also stole cornerback Robert Jackson.

Claypool says Browns will take Chiefs’ hands

Browns players such as Sione Takitaki, Adrian Clayborn and Kareem Hunt all responded to Claypool’s comments.

In an interview with DAZN Canada on Thursday, Claypool explained why he made these observations.

“Not that I’m praying that they’ll be beaten very badly, but someone asked me for a score prediction and that was a way of saying that I think the Browns are going to beat the Browns,” he said. “If the Browns had won with more class, then I would not have been so salty about it, but they mocking JuJu [Smith-Schuster] during and after the game I just didn’t like it ”

Asked to describe what they were doing, Claypool said “they were overclassified, you know against JuJu, against JuJu what they were saying on the pitch at the end of the game, so I will have no respect for a team that has no respect for us. ”

He said he didn’t care if Takitaki and Clayborn hit him back – and got another punch.

“They can enjoy the victory and another week of football, but they will be on the couch right next to me, so it’s okay,” he said.

Takitaki rejected Claypool’s ‘classless’ comments on Thursday.

“I have nothing to say about it, ” Takitaki said in an interview with Zoom on Thursday. “I feel like the game is over. We are not playing these guys. We want to close in Kansas. But he is obviously a great player. A great player, a good boy. But yes, we are stuck in Kansas. So, hearing all of this, we are way beyond that. “
