The Steam Game Festival is back, bringing with it hundreds of interesting game demos for PC (most of them from independent creators). The Steam Game Festival started in late 2019 as a tie led by Geoff-Keighley with The Game Awards, but they have become a regular thing since then, and this latest iteration seems to be the biggest of all.
As mentioned, the Spring Steam Game Festival includes more than 500 free game demos, which may seem somewhat incomprehensible, but I have chosen some interesting ones to get you started …
Loop Hero (2021)
A new approach to roguelike that lets you plan your adventure with an ever-expanding deck of cards, while you venture into an infinite loop. You decide where you define the risk-reward balance. Download the demo here.
Do not forget me (TBA)
A colorful retro adventure game in which you unravel a mystery by exploring the characters’ memories. Download the demo here.
Genesis Noir (Q1 2021)
Dude, how to explain that? Genesis Noir is a heady adventure game that transforms the Big Bang that created the universe into an elegant black and white detective noir story. Yes. I have no idea how you will play, but points for originality. Download the demo here.
There is no place for bravery (2021)
An elegant pixel art action RPG with intense combat and a dark and bloody world and history. It looks like metal correctly. Download the demo here.
Echo Generation (2021)
A RPG part, a point and click adventure game with a fun retro vibe that resembles Earthbound and Stranger Things. Add a “Minecraft elevated” visual style to the mix and you’ll have a game that really stands out. Download the demo here.
Almighty: Kill your gods (Coming soon)
Hunt monsters, gods and other villains, collect body parts and use them to create equipment and expand your home base. Play alone or with friends in a cooperative style! Download the demo here.
The Riftbreaker (2021)
A heavy arcade action festival reminiscent of Housemarque games, but with RPG, base building and additional survival elements. Download the demo here.
Of course, I’m just scratching the surface! Check out the full range of demos here. The Spring Steam Game Festival runs until next Tuesday (February 9)
