BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Starting on Monday morning, the next phase of the vaccine launch in Vermont begins.
Teachers and people 55 and older with underlying health problems can now apply for the vaccine.
The state is now opening vaccination appointments for teachers and staff from public and private schools, additional public security staff, prison staff, 911 operators, police lieutenants and Vermonters 55 and those with underlying health problems.
Teachers must wait for more information from the school district to apply.
Spouses and family members of educators are not eligible.

Next week, people aged 16 to 54 with underlying diseases will be able to make an appointment.
