State creates map to help patients find the supplier of the vaccine COVID-19

HOUSTON – The momentum to get the COVID-19 vaccine is on the rise now, so the next challenge is to find a provider, a hospital or medical clinic or even a pharmacy that will give you the vaccine.

To help all of us, the Texas State Department of Health Services has created an interactive map that makes it easy to find a provider in your neighborhood.

To use it, simply click on the Houston area map.

The map will be enlarged closer and closer to the metropolitan area with each click.

When you get close enough to see the different cities and suburban areas, hover over your part of the city and click on one of the points in your area.

A location of the provider appears, along with the phone number to call to make an appointment, the provider’s address and what type of provider you are looking for, pharmacy, doctor’s office, medical clinic or hospital.

The website also reports how many doses of vaccine that specific provider received by the state.

Now that you know where to go, it’s important to call that location before entering.

You will need to schedule an appointment with the provider, you will not be able to just enter and get vaccinated.
