Just yesterday, Stardew Valley celebrated its five-year anniversary, which seems pretty insane if you think about it. It’s been five years since the game’s release, but it still looks consistently new and exciting with the amount of work that was put into it after launch.
Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe and creator of the game, accessed Twitter on the game’s five-year anniversary to thank fans and players for staying with the game for so long. And as the game has steadily improved over the years, it is entirely possible that Barone will continue to work on patches and updates to add more content to it.
Just a few months ago, we received Update 1.5, which was the biggest drop in content in Stardew Valley in quite a while. He added new dungeons, new animals, tools, along with new goals at the beginning and end of the game for players to work on, and the patch was released for consoles just a few weeks ago.
There is still a lot of content to dive into Stardew Valley, even if you’ve been playing since launch, which is a testament to how solid this farming sim is. Stardew Valley is now available for PC, consoles and mobile devices.
