A new trailer for the Star Wars: The High Republic publishing initiative reveals an evil that threatens all the most beloved Jedi Knights.
A new trailer for Star Wars: The High Republic was released.
The trailer was released at the end of a live broadcast with authors involved with The high republic and is narrated by a Jedi woman, who gives an overview of The high republiccomprehensive history of. “Our order was made to shine its light even in the darkest corners of the galaxy,” she says. “There, we encountered an evil that none of us had trained for – which threatens everything we know.”
Images of the Jedi fighting various enemies are shown, including the plant-like Drengir and the intergalactic invaders known as Nihil. A list of publishers was also revealed in the trailer, including Marvel, IDW and even VIZ Media.
Star Wars: The High Republic occurs 200 years before the events of The phantom threat. At the height of their power, the Jedi Knights take action when disaster strikes at the newly created Starlight Beacon station. The high republic also inspired the Disney + series The acolyte, which is being developed by Russian doll creator Leslye Headland. The acolyte it has been described as “a mystery thriller that will take audiences to a galaxy of dark secrets and powers emerging from the dark side in the final days of the High Republic era”.
Star Wars: The High Republic starts Charles Soule’s Light of the Jedi, on sale on January 5.
