A player struggled to create a replica of the Star Wars‘iconic Millennium Falcon in the successful cooperative survival game, Valheim. Iron Gate developer released Valheim earlier this month as a Steam Early Access title, and has already made a good impression on both critics and players. Almost two weeks after launch, the title sold three million units and quickly became one of Steam’s most revised games.
Fallen in Valheim, the 10th Nordic kingdom, players take on the role of deceased warriors who must survive as long as possible. The odds are against Vikings from the start, courtesy of formidable mythical creatures, hostile elements and a litany of other potential threats. Players can lighten the load by joining up to nine other players in cooperative mode, and make the most of it Valheim’s robust game mechanics. The craft and construction systems constitute some of these mechanics, allowing the construction of settlements, roads, weapons and even fermenters, the latter of which are fundamental for the elaboration Valheim’s equivalent of the potion – Mead.
Colonel-James-Parker shared a video of his “Millennium Longboat” on Reddit, a recreation of Star Wars‘Millennium Falcon in Valheim. The iconic spaceship commanded by Han Solo and Chewbacca has a different appearance in the survival game, its usual brilliance replaced by what appears to be a predominantly wooden design. Still, the detail on display in the replica requires applause, especially since, according to Redditor, this particular creation is simply a “test building. “Even the interior of the ship has an impressive level of detail.
The work done in the clip above is undoubtedly an incredible feat, which highlights the intricate design of the crafting system in Valheim. Interestingly, the Millennium Falcon is not the first of such an outstanding in-game creation. Another Redditor recently shared his replica in the game of Skyrim’s High Hrothgar Monastery; this is also a sight to behold.
While Iron Gate continues to update the game with new content, Valheim players are bound to discover even more ways to push the limits of their own creativity. The developer has not yet confirmed when the first major updates will begin to be released, but fans can expect a lot of content to support them during the early access period. For example, Iron Gate had already created plans for a sandbox mode, moon phases and another biome called Mistlands.
Valheim is now available on PC via Steam Early Access.
