Stadia’s biggest exclusive (timed) will no longer be exclusive

CraytaStadia’s scheduled exclusivity is coming to an end soon, with developer Unit 2 Games confirming that the title will be coming to the PC “very soon”. Originally announced as a timed exclusive “First on Stadia”, CraytaThe leap from to other platforms has always been more of a “when” rather than “if”, but the announcement marks the first official indication of the PC’s regular port.

The news – originally seen by 9to5Google, citing a tweet from Twitter user @Yogarine – comes from an announcement from Unit 2 Games in the Discord game chat. The company promises that it will have more information (including the launch date and digital display where Crayta will be offered) in the coming weeks, but promises that “he will still be as committed to Stadia as we have always been”. The new PC version will also offer full crossplay with the Stadia version of Crayta.

AN Minecraftstyle game creation game that is built on the Unreal Engine, Craytain standout feature (in addition to the rare status of an exclusive Stadia title) was one of the first games to embrace Stadia’s State Share technology, which (in theory) promised that any Stadia player could join a Crayta world simply by clicking on a link. It is a feature that will likely remain exclusive to the Stadia version of the game, even after the PC version is released, given its reliance on Google’s streaming technology to work.
