Stadia will host ‘more than 100 games’ this year

FIFA 21, Trial and a series of cute platform games on the way

Google is reassuring owners that, despite its somewhat difficult start, Stadia is still fully supported by the company, with “more than 100 games” scheduled to launch on the cloud gaming service throughout 2021.

“We are excited to continue bringing great games from some of the best developers for our players to try at the Stadia store,” says an official post on the Stadia forum. “Over the next few weeks and months, players can expect to see everything from action-packed RPGs to competitive cooperative titles and agile platform games […] These games represent just a sample of the more than 100 games that will be added to the Stadia store for our players in 2021 to share, try and play with friends. “

Among the titles planned for Stadia’s immediate future are Electronic Arts’ FIFA 21 (March 17), detective brawler from Team Yakuza Judgment (April 23) and science fiction RPG by Cradle Games Hellpoint. Also listed are a number of cartoon platform titles, including WayForward’s Shantae releases Half-genius hero and Risky’s Revenge, PixelHive is fun for the future Kaze and the wild masksand LiquidBit’s competitive multiplayer title Killer Queen Black.

The post follows Stadia’s recent announcement that it was already closing its internal game development studios, just over a year after the service’s launch. In the future, Stadia intends to focus on delivering new and old third-party software to its user community, publishing more games with each passing month.

I think there is still life in the old … erm … new dog.
