Games coming to Stadia
Ubisoft is making an open world Star Wars game
Wednesday saw some really good news coming out – the Star Wars universe is expanding beyond EA. Ubisoft is currently in development on a new Star Wars video game that uses the open world concept popularized by titles like Breath of the Wild and Spider-Man. Details on this new release of Ubisoft’s Star Wars are scarce, but apparently the game is being developed by Ubisoft Massive, which is responsible in part for The Crew 2 and The Division 2. Nothing is known about where the game is going on. Star Wars timeline or which characters we’ll follow.
The best news implied here is that, as the game is being developed by Ubisoft, this Star Wars title is almost guaranteed to have a debut on Stadia, probably even the same day and date with other platforms. This is really exciting!

Autumn guys, maybe?
As some in the community noted this week, Mediatonic ran a poll this week asking for feedback from the community. The Fall Guys developer asked where people would like to see the game released, placing Stadia in second place on the list. This one not it means that the game is definitely coming, but it is clear that at least it is being considered.
What we’re playing this week
Ben Schoon – Outcasts
Between CES 2021 and the launch of the Galaxy S21, games were at the bottom of my list of priorities. The little time I had to play was spent with Outcasters, just to remind me how bad I am at that game. The exclusive Stadia is a great concept and it’s super fun even when you lose, but man, I’m just struggling to get something close to “skill”. Finally I managed to win the Last Caster Standing game on Friday, but it was a bit of an empty win as it was a game with the majority of bots. In another match, I managed to take third place in a group of real players.
Given the great workload we saw this week, I was not alone in this, as my colleagues also did not have time to spend at Stadia.
