SSM Health is expected to contact newly eligible Wisconsin residents this week to schedule vaccine appointments

SSM Health

MADISON, Wisconsin – SSM Health will begin contacting eligible patients later this week to schedule vaccination appointments. The health care provider announced its updated vaccination plans on Monday afternoon.

All SSM Health patients who have not yet been vaccinated can receive an email from their healthcare provider inviting them to schedule an appointment online. Those who want to schedule an appointment can also call 608-250-1222.

While millions of Wisconsin residents are now eligible for vaccination, officials said supplies were still limited.

“SSM Health is committed to vaccinating as many eligible individuals as we can, as vaccine supplies allow,” said Mo Kharbat, Regional VP of Pharmacy at SSM Health Wisconsin. “As we work to overcome this large group of Wisconsin residents, we are asking the public for patience. Once the vaccine is delivered, SSM Health will be able to vaccinate up to 20,000 people a week. We are looking forward to a time when more vaccines will be available. “

SSM Health officials said they are also working to offer vaccine clinic locations in cooperation with groups of employers across the area to ensure that eligible 1B workers are vaccinated.

UW Health announced on Monday that patients can now schedule vaccination appointments online. Meriter announced on Monday that it also plans to contact patients in the coming weeks for vaccine inquiries.
