Deputy Jamaal Bowman, DN.Y., reacted to Twitter by banning President Trump from his platform by posting a famous footage of a U.S. official announcing the capture of former dictator Saddam Hussein during the Iraq war.
The answer came shortly after Twitter announced Trump’s permanent suspension and hours after Bowman requested his removal. “@Twitter, why is Donald Trump still here tweeting after inciting a fascist crowd? Suspend his account!” he said.
The reappeared footage showed Paul Bremer, who led the Bush administration’s efforts in Iraq, eliciting strident applause as he said, “Ladies and gentlemen, we caught him.”

Bowman’s tweet came at a time when tensions were rising with Wednesday’s riots at the United States Capitol and about how lawmakers on both sides of the aisle responded. Bowman’s squadmates, along with many other Democrats, demanded that the president be removed from office.
Trump’s report was initially under temporary suspension after he tweeted that the “things and events” that happened on Wednesday were what happened “when an overwhelming and sacred electoral victory is so unceremonious and cruelly withdrawn from great patriots” .
While several elected Republicans have raised concerns about what they say are polling irregularities, Trump has not won the election, let alone an overwhelming victory. On Thursday, Congress certified the results of the Electoral College, validating President-elect Biden’s place in the White House.
Twitter said Friday afternoon that it was permanently suspending the president’s account “due to the risk of further incitement to violence”.
Twitter also banned other accounts, something that conservatives seemed to notice when they lost a substantial following on the platform.

When asked about these complaints, a Twitter spokesman told Fox News: “Accounts have been suspended under our policy on Coordinated Harmful Activity. We make it clear that we will take strict law enforcement action on behavior that can cause harm offline, and given the renewed potential for violence around this behavior in the coming days, we will permanently suspend accounts exclusively dedicated to sharing QAnon content. “
The White House did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment.
