Spring game in Alabama on April 17 with reduced capacity

The Alabama spring game will take place on April 17, the school announced on Friday.

It will be the first spring game held since 2019. Last year’s event, and all spring training, were canceled because of the pandemic outbreak COVID-19 last March.

This year’s game is expected to have a reduced capacity similar to games during the 2020 season.

“It is not ready yet, but we will probably end up having to enter the event because we will have to limit capacity somewhere in the range of probably 20-25 percent,” said athletics director Greg Byrne during an interview produced by the school on Friday -market. “We haven’t finished it yet, working on these details, but we will achieve it, which we didn’t have last year, so it’s another good step for us.”

The spring game will be the culmination of the spring football drills that are due to begin next month.
