Two North Carolina men in Miami during spring break were arrested for allegedly drugging and raping a 24-year-old woman who was found dead in her hotel room, officials said on Monday.
Evoire Collier, 21, and Dorian Taylor, 24, are also accused of stealing credit cards from the unconscious woman and using them while on vacation in South Beach, reported The Miami Herald.
The two men were caught by surveillance footage entering the Albion Hotel with the victim, a Pennsylvania resident, at about 1 am on Thursday, police said.

“[Taylor] was holding her from behind, holding her by the neck so she could stand, “Miami Beach detective Luis Alsina testified during a bail hearing on Monday, according to the Herald.
The police said that each of the men had sex with the victim at the hotel and, at one point, Taylor allegedly forced her because she appeared to be unconscious.

“The fact that the victim was under the influence of alcohol and narcotics, she could not have consented to having sex with the defendants,” says the police report.
While the victim was passed out, the men stole her credit cards, phone and money and left her in the bedroom “with no concern for her welfare or safety,” the report alleges.
The first respondents found the woman “half-naked” and dead in her bedroom bed on Thursday.
The police were able to track down Collier – who fits the description of one of the men in the surveillance footage – on Saturday in an area that is recently full of spring breakers.
He reportedly confessed that he and his friend met the woman at a local restaurant and that Taylor gave her a “green pill”, the police report said.
Collier told police that he believed the drug was Percocet, a powerful painkiller, testified to Alsina in court.
He would have said “he agreed with [Taylor] since they planned to have sex with the victim, “said the report.
Both men, who are from Greensboro, were put in Miami-Dade prison on Sunday.
The charges against them include battery theft, sexual assault, petty theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of death of the victim and whether it was due to an overdose of the pill provided by the men. If so, the two may also face charges of manslaughter or murder, the Herald reported.
His arrests take place as local authorities struggle with crowds of rioting rebels who flocked to the party city, recently instituting a 8 pm curfew to quell the turbulent bash.
Miami Beach police have made more than 1,000 arrests since February and at least five officers have been injured on the job, the Herald reported.
In court on Monday, prosecutor Ayana Harris argued that Collier and Taylor should be detained in prison pending trial, noting that they could face more serious charges and the possible risks of escape, as “both are from outside the country. state”.
Miami-Dade circuit judge Mindy Glazer agreed and expressed concern over the charges.
“He couldn’t even pick up the phone to call the police or 911 after they did everything they did to her,” said Glazer.
Both Collier and Taylor were appointed public defenders and are due to be reported in about three weeks.
