WWE NXT General Manager, General Manager William Regal is scheduled to make two important announcements in tomorrow’s WWE NXT episode, and now Justin Barrasso from Sports Illustrated has revealed what these ads will be about.
Regal’s first “game change announcement” will be the creation of the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles, as we speculate. Regal’s second announcement that “will change the NXT scene” will center around the two-night Takeover event that is scheduled for WrestleMania 37 Week in early April, as has also been speculated.
It was recently revealed that the WWE Network has an NXT Takeover event scheduled for Thursday, April 8, which is the Thursday before night 1 of WrestleMania 37 on Saturday, April 10. It was then revealed that WWE officials discussed the first two Takeover Evening Events with Night 1 being broadcast on the USA Network on Wednesday night’s regular timeslot, while Night 2 would be broadcast on that Thursday on the WWE Network. The new Sports Illustrated report confirms that Takeover Night 1 will be broadcast live on the USA Network, while Takeover Night 2 will be broadcast exclusively on the Peacock / WWE Network.
There was some speculation about Regal’s announcement of the NXT move to Tuesday nights, but it looks like it will come at a later date, if the show still leaves on Wednesdays.
