Thunder Lotus Games announced plans to release three major updates for Spiritfarer, the “cozy death management game” in spring, summer and autumn.

■ Spring 2021 update: Lily

As Stella is becoming familiar with Spiritfaring’s work, she begins to discover some of her memories, which are beginning to bloom like wonderful flowers in her cabin. These flowers are home to butterflies that perch to form our new spiritual friend: Lily, Stella’s younger sister.
Lily is the only active spirit during the night. Just as it has always been a striking presence in the older sister’s life, here it lights up the night and lets you sail on your boat even when it’s dark! This is not convenient!
In addition to adding Lily, we will be enhancing the cooperative experience with a brand new user interface and the ability to fish for wellies! All this and more!
■ Summer 2021 update: Beverly
- New spirit
- New boat buildings, collectibles and recipes
- Improvements in quality of life
While visiting Oxbury, Stella is approached by a stranger who turns out to be her former neighbor Beverly! She has been feeling very lonely on this island and couldn’t be happier to finally have found someone to talk about the past!
Speaking of the past, do you remember overhead projectors? To maintain alignment with our journey through memory, we will present a new station called the Archive Room, where you can inspect a new set of collectible items called Acetate Sheets. Who knows what kind of information these wonderful transparent sheets can contain!
We also have a multitude of quality of life adjustments in progress – full details will come at a later date!
■ Fall 2021 update: Jackie and Daria

- New buildings and features for boats

Out of nowhere, Stella receives the coordinates of a new island that houses a ruined hospital. There, she will meet two spirits: Jackie, the caretaker, and Daria, her primary patient. Seeing that Jackie is overworked, Stella decides to help him.
You will be able to explore a whole new island, interact with two new spirits and experience a whole new event! Additional details will be released later this year!
Spiritfarer is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG, as well as Xbox Game Pass for PC and Console.
