Thunder Lotus, the developer behind Spiritfarer, launched a script for future content for the cozy game of building bases on life after death. There will be three updates over the course of 2021, planned for spring, summer and fall. Each update will be free and available to all players.
The first update is the update for Lily, who will introduce a new spiritual friend. Stella is the raft master for the deceased, but she discovers memories of her past in the form of flowers around her cabin. These flowers draw butterflies, which form a new spirit of friendship: Lily, Stella’s younger sister.
Lily is a spirit present during the night, lighting the way as Stella steers her boat. Thunder Lotus says that the update will also have “a new user interface and the ability to do some cooperative fishing”, along with further improvements in quality of life.
The second update is the Beverly update. Stella meets a stranger who used to be her neighbor, Beverly. Beverly’s update will also contain a File Room, where players can store a new collector called Acetate Sheets. Beverly Update will also have a “multitude of quality of life adjustments” for fans to explore.
Finally, the update for Jackie and Daria will bring a new island to Spiritfarer. The island will have a run-down hospital, with Jackie, the caretaker, supervising Daria, the patient. Stella reaches out to help with Jackie’s tasks. Thunder Lotus will share more details about the Jackie and Daria update as autumn approaches.
