Not one, not two, but three the titles of Marvel-Sony’s third Spider-Man movie are now being released by the cast on Instagram. On Tuesday, Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon and Zendaya posted three different titles: Spider-Man: Phone Home, Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker and Spider-Man: Home Slice (slide the first photos to see them).

“I’m really excited to announce the new Spider-Man title. I can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been up to,” posted Holland, also known as Peter Parker.

“We are excited to share the title of our new film!” wrote Batalon, also known as Parker’s best friend, Ned Leeds.

“I am very excited to announce the new Spider-Man title. I am very proud of this … FOS is back!” posted Zendaya, also known as Peter’s love interest, MJ.

What this means? You can point to the multiverse plot of the film, with Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina has already confirmed that he is reprising his roles as Electro and Doctor Octopus from previous Sony Spider-Man films.

Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is also involved in the film, and Marvel chief Kevin Feige has reportedly confirmed that the events here will be related to the future Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (to be released in March 2022, following the sequel to Spider-Man: away from home in December 2021).

Of course, the shared multiverse storyline was used with great success in the animation of 2018 Spider-Man: In the Spider-Verse. So it’s not surprising that Marvel / Sony live action films are eager to plunge their feet into a vast web of dimensions. Charlie Cox, who played Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil, on the Marvel TV Netflix series, also recorded material for the film, but this has not been officially confirmed by Marvel or Sony.

Note that the Netherlands will appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night, so stay tuned for a possible official reveal of his title.

Fans have speculated on the different colors and fonts of the three titles.

“Perhaps each fake title with sources other than Spider-Man represents the villains that appear in the film?” a tweeted.

Hopefully, the official reveal of the title is imminent.
