Spencer Image takes a new look at Kristen Stewart as Princess Di – / Film

spencer Kristen Stewart's picture

It’s time to take another look at Kristen Stewart like Princess Diana in Spencer, the next film by Jackie principal Pablo Larrain. Much was said about how Stewart was “unrecognizable” when the first image, which you can see above, was released for the film. I don’t agree with that assessment very much. However, I think Stewart is almost unrecognizable in this new image, which you can see below. I can’t quite define what it is, but there is something else going on here besides a wig. Prostheses? Makeup? Just a lighting trick? You decide.

So, what would you say, internet? Is there more to Kristen Stewart’s Princess Diana look than just a wig? A part of me thinks she may be wearing a fake nose, but then again, this may just be a lightning trick. Anyway, I’m very excited to Spencer, a film that seems to have come out of the same mold as the fantastic film by director Pablo Larrain Jackie. Just as that film told the story of a famous historical female figure over a few traumatic days, so does it Spencer. Here is the synopsis:

The film focuses on a weekend in the life of Princess Diana, when she spends the Christmas holiday with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, and decides to leave her marriage to Prince Charles. Filming took place in Germany, before moving to the United Kingdom. A launch in the fall of 2021 is planned. 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of Diana’s death.

December 1991: The wedding of the Prince and Princess of Wales cooled off a long time ago. Although there are many rumors of cases and divorce, peace has been ordered for the Christmas festivities at Sandringham Estate. There is food and drink, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be very different.

Spencer it is only the most recent dramatized account of Princess Diana’s life. The last season of The crown he also introduced Diana as a character, played in a memorable way by Emma Corrin. Elizabeth Debicki will take on the role in the show’s next season.

In addition to Stewart as Princess Diana, Spencer also features Jack Farthing like Prince Charles. Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins, and Sean Harris complete the cast. Larrain runs a script for Steven Knight (Locke), and the film will feature a soundtrack by Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood, which is already responsible for some excellent soundtracks (Phantom Thread, There will be blood, and You were never really here) Production has just moved to the UK for the final stretch of filming, and there is hope to have it ready by the fall of this year.
