Southern Charm star Ashley Jacobs is engaged to boyfriend Mike Appel during a snow trail in Park City
Ashley Jacobs is officially off the market, with former Southern Charm star now engaged to boyfriend Mike Appel.
35-year-old Jacobs, who first appeared in the fifth season of Southern Charm as Thomas Ravenel’s girlfriend, has been dating 40-year-old Appel since the summer of 2019.
Appel, owner of the clothing company Related Garments and the Nnovate agency, proposed during a snow trail in Park City, according to People.

Appel asked the question while they were on a snowmobile ride in Park City, and Jacobs said yes.
“After a year and a half of dating, we can agree that this adventure we are living together is just beginning,” said Jacobs.

She also shared some of the snowy engagement day photos on Instagram, where she was showing off the engagement ring.

‘I was taking a picture of the sunset over the ocean when Mike kindly interrupted and asked, “Would you like me to take a picture with you on it?” Jacobs said about his first meeting.
“We started a conversation after that. Mike is from Los Angeles and asked, “Have you come to LA yet?” I thought to myself, “No,” but I replied, “Not that often.”
She added that she needed to remember that “she dated someone who lived in South Carolina, so LA is nothing in terms of distance.”

Jacobs added that Appel invited her to Los Angeles a week later and, ‘The rest is history.’
The duo became ‘official on Instagram’ a few months after that initial encounter, which was a year after she parted ways with Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel.
The couple dated for more than a year before they split in 2018, but not after she appeared on Southern Charm and rivaled Kathryn Dennis, Ravenel’s ex and mother of her two children.
