‘South Park’ returns early with one-hour ‘special vaccination’

It is safe to assume that the episode will touch on important events in the past few months.

South Park is coming back in early 2021 – because there has been a lot of news that Trey Parker and Matt Stone need to address through their beloved Comedy Central program.

Another one-hour standalone special is due to open on March 10, entitled “South ParQ The Vaccination Special”. The episode will be broadcast simultaneously on MTV2 at 8pm.

The series usually has its seasons in the fall, but due to the pandemic, only a single one-hour “Special Pandemic” aired in 2020. A backstage short film highlighted that designing the program remotely was not a simple feat.

“The citizens of South ParQ are calling for the COVID-19 vaccine. A new hilarious militant group tries to prevent the boys from vaccinating their teacher ”, says a description of the special to come.

It is safe to assume that the episode will touch on important events in the past few months, such as the presidential election (did Mr. Garrison finally return to what he was?) And the COVID-19 vaccination effort. The “Q” in the title is also a hint that the special is likely to address the QAnon conspiracy theory and perhaps even the US Capitol uprising.

It is not yet clear when the show will return with its traditional weekly 30-minute episodes.

Before the pandemic hit and the show was forced to go on a hiatus, South Park it made headlines around the world for its severe criticism of the way Hollywood tends to shape its content to avoid offending Chinese government censors. In response, South Park was banned in China, with the country’s internet and streaming services totally eliminated from the program. Parker and Stone found this hilarious.

In 2019, South Park it was renewed until 2022. The entire program library moved from Hulu to HBO Max in a supposedly $ 500 million deal.
