It’s been 5 months since our last dose of South Park arrived, which probably means we have been for a long timedue for that second jab. Hence Comedy Central today announcing that the second of its adjacent pandemic South Park specials will arrive on March 10, spearing our usual host of deep and existential and political seedlings anxieties. Çwhat does that mean, yes: South Parkis doing a QAnon thing now.
At least, this is the result of the brief teaser released for the special today, who voiced the show “South ParQ”, and carries the nickname “Special Vaccination”. Now, given that the people of this paritcular peaceful mountain town is already so prone to mass hysteria, random violence and general loss of shit that they tend to get up and practically kill themselves every two episodes, we can’t wait – in a sickening way – to see how Trey Parker and Matt Stone process the January 6 Capitol disturbances, our general vaccination fears, and the widespread tide of myopic stupidity that is still going strong in America although its strongest presidential defender has finally been banned from social media / the White House. If the summary of the plot of the episode—“A new hilarious militant group try to prevent the boys from vaccinating the teacher ”- it is true, however, we can’t wait to explode in all this armed revolt of patting the knee.
