South Carolina woman knocks out man accused of beating girlfriend at bowling alley, according to reports

An unidentified South Carolina woman knocked out a Charleston lawyer she allegedly witnessed by attacking his girlfriend at a bowling alley, according to local reports.

Pano Michael Dupree, 58, allegedly grabbed his girlfriend by the neck and hair at Ashley Lanes in Sam Rittenberg Bouelvard on March 19.

He faces charges of assault and third-degree assault, arrest records show.

A backup photo seems to show some of the damage the woman involved has done – he has a black eye, cuts and bruises on his face.

Witnesses told police that, prior to the incident, a man entered the bowling alley and started arguing with a woman, WCSC reported. Then he supposedly put her in a choke and pulled on her hair.

An unknown woman ran and punched Dupree in the face, according to the police report.

He fell to the floor, allegedly taking a piece of the victim’s hair along the way. He was still on the ground when the police arrived, according to WCSC.

The authorities took him to a hospital for treatment and put him under arrest there. He was released on $ 1,087 bail and is expected to return to court on May 5.
