PATRICK, SC (TCD) –
A South Carolina woman was found stabbed to death on Valentine’s Day and her grandson was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday.
Chesterfield County sheriff’s deputies went to an address on Winburn Street in Patrick on Sunday at 4 pm to check on the welfare of a resident at the request of family members.
MPs said Geraldine Sellers Marshall, 73, was found dead with several stab wounds to the upper body.
Investigators determined that Marshall’s grandson allegedly stabbed the woman several times. David Antonio Little Jr., 30, was arrested and is expected to be charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators did not disclose the reason or further details about the crime. The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office, the Cheraw Police Department, the South Carolina Police Division Crime Scene Unit and the Darlington Coroner’s Office were investigating the incident.
