South Carolina virtual school choice fair to celebrate school choice week

COLUMBIA, SC, January 21, 2021 / PRNewswire / – South Carolina families are invited to join My SC Education and parents and educators across the state to explore school options from the comfort of their homes during South Carolina School Choice Week Virtual Fair .

The free virtual fair will present practical information on the choice of private school, choice of magnetic school, home education and choice of charter school; an inspiring conversation with the heroine chosen by the school Virginia Walden Ford; and a performance by the National School Choice Week dance students.

During the virtual event, the official proclamation by the governor of School Choice Week in South Carolina will be displayed.

The South Carolina Virtual School Choice Fair will take place on Wednesday, January 27 in 11am The event is free, but parents and educators must register at crowdcast.io/e/south-carolina-nscw/register.

This event is planned to coincide with the historic celebration of National School Choice Week 2021, which will feature more than 33,000 celebrations in all 50 states.

This event is organized by My South Carolina Education, which seeks to provide parents with understandable information about the education options available so they can make the best decisions for their children’s future.

National School Choice Week highlights effective K-12 education options for children. As a non-profit effort, the week also focuses on traditional options for public, chartered, magnet, online, private and home education. Every January, participants plan tens of thousands of events and activities – such as school fairs, public presentations and student exhibitions – to raise awareness about school choice in all 50 states. Throughout the year, National School Choice Week develops resources and guides to help families search for schools or learning environments for their children.
