COLOMBIA, SC – TJ Sanders’ cell phone started ringing as soon as Will Muschamp was fired.

“Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Vandy, Ole Miss … we talked to Florida,” said Sanders.

Sanders is a three-star defensive line candidate from Marion, SC, and he was not alone among the South Carolina appointments that received consultations from other schools as soon as the Gamecocks changed coaches.

Caleb McDowell, a three-star running back from Georgia, heard from Georgia, Tennessee and Indiana.
