South Carolina recruiting setback

In the past seven days, TheBigSpur has posted several stories of recruiting football Gamecocks, so if you may have missed one, you are in the right space.

Some of South Carolina’s main targets for 2022 have been questioned about Shane Beamer last week at the Under Armor Camp Series parade near Atlanta. Here’s what they have to say.

Included among them: 2022 four-star linebacker Jaylen Sneed, who spoke with Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports. Sneed also caught up with TheBigSpur.

Defensive discharge of three stars Felix Hixon (Jackson, Georgia) was also present for the camp. Here is a summary of the prospect’s 2022 interview with TheBigSpur.

Three star offensive challenge Grayson Mains (Suwanee, Georgia) previewed their self-guided tour of the South Carolina campus after the Under Armor event. Gains, a 2022 recruit, visited Tennessee on Thursday and South Carolina on Friday.

Braden Davis, a 2022 four-star quarterback from Middletown, Del., also checked the South Carolina campus on Friday. Here is a recap of what he saw in Columbia.

Two potential customers from 2022 have scheduled official visits with Gamecocks. Both are four stars: tight end Oscar Delp (Cumming, Georgia) and defensive equipment Dominick James (IMG Academy).

The most recent edition of the VIP Room included several updates related to recruitment, as well as some information from the team. A few days later, this VIP recruitment notebook was shared, with notes in 2022, four stars running back Damari Alston (Atlanta) and 2022 wide receiver three stars Chandler Smith (Orlando).

Four-star linebacker Abdul Carter (Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania) spoke with Brian Dohn of 247Sports about his recruitment. Gamecocks are certainly involved with the 2022 outlook.

Zavion Hardy, a 2023 defensive lineman from Macon, Georgia, discussed his offer with TheBigSpur. Tony Morrell had the story.

Morrell also posted an update on 2023 Sumter, SC defensive striker Monteque Rhames, which was offered by South Carolina a few days ago.

Three star security Jourdan Thomas, a 2022 from Montgomery, Alabama, lists an offer from South Carolina. He talked about it right here.

Judge Hayes is one of the main running back candidates in the 2023 class. And he is friends with a former South Carolina star.
