South Carolina offers quick relief for some drivers with suspended licenses

AUGUSTA, Georgia. (WRDW / WAGT) – If you had your driver’s license suspended in South Carolina, you may have a chance to cut the suspension next week.

If your license has been suspended for any of these reasons, you can request the driver’s suspension eligibility week to reduce or even cancel your suspension.

  • Keep points excessive and under 18 years old
  • Operate an unlicensed taxi
  • Operate an uninsured vehicle that you do not own
  • Operate or allow another person to operate an uninsured vehicle
  • Driving under suspension, excluding conviction for alcohol or drugs

You must register between March 15th and 19th on the South Carolina DMV website and then make an appointment at the DMV location

However, if you live in Allendale or McCormick counties, this service is only offered on Wednesday, March 17, and not throughout the week.
